Monthly Dues

Membership Dues are paid through monthly EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) on the 10th of each month. The Join Fee is assessed to new members and those whose memberships have lapsed for 30 days or more. Memberships that are drafted monthly through the EFT program are set as a continuous membership. Accepted payment methods include checking accounts, Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express. Prepaid cards are not accepted for recurring draft payments.

Financial Assistance

The YMCA of South Alabama is for everyone, regardless of race, religion, age, income or ability to pay. Financial Assistance is available for those who apply and qualify. Our Annual Campaign is the Y initiative that provides financial assistance for programs and memberships to children and families in need. Funds raised through our Annual Campaign remain in our community and are made available to qualifying local youth, families and adults as long as funds are available.Visit or stop by any of our five YMCA of South Alabama branches to inquire about our Financial Assistance program.

No Contracts

At the YMCA you never have to sign a contract. While memberships can be canceled at any time, you must cancel before the last business day of the month to avoid drafting for the following month. Members must complete a cancellation form at a YMCA branch. Only the primary member or person on the billing account is authorized to cancel a membership. Verbal cancellations are not acceptable. Cancellations must be received prior to the last business day of the month in order to stop the membership draft for the following month. Upon rejoining the YMCA, you will be required to pay a join fee unless you rejoin within 30 days of membership termination.
